When you have made the decision to book a photo shoot with Treasured Moments Photography, you can use the "Book a Photo Shoot" page on this website to submit your request for a photo shoot. E-mails will be responded to as quickly as possible, most times within a few hours. You can request a shoot as soon as one week in advance as long as there are openings.
Choosing whether you want to do a studio session, an on-spot session, or a combination of both will depend on what type of portraits you are looking for and what mood you want to portray.
Studio shoots let you choose from a selection of backdrop colors and props. These can be great to get shots that bring emphasis to your childs eyes, or a certain outfit you might want in the pictures. These sessions can be very fun and tend to be more posed than an on-location shoot. Studio shoots are also great choices for newborns and for formal family portraits or greeting card portraits.
On-spot shoots take advantage of the gorgeous landscaping our colorful Colorado has to offer. A nearby park full of lush grass and trees, a rocky river scene, a rustic bridge, snowy hills in the canyons...these are all amazing backdrops for natural looking portraits. These sessions allow me to showcase your family or child(ren) with real personalities shining through. Often times children especially take impecable photos on-spot, as, after all, what child doesn't love the outdoors?
Some of my favorite locations include Viestenz-Smith park in Big Thompson Canyon, Lookout Mountain, Ciatano winery grounds in Lyons, and local pumpkin patches in the fall!
Directly outside my in-home studio, there is a very well maintained greenbelt that always has the greenest grass in the summer, the most colorful leaves in fall, and when it snows...there's always snow to frolic in. And, not 5 minutes up the road, a quaint set of ponds with a lovely walk through terrace offers even more options for a combo shoot. These shoots will allow you the best of each world - natural on-spot portraits and studio style portraits alike, all in the same session.
Depending on the weather at the time of your shoot, we will start indoors during fall and winter, and it will be your choice during spring/summer.
Photo shoots can last anywhere from 45 mins - 3 hours depending on the type of session and amount of people included. For on spot photo shoots, we will meet at an agreed upon spot on the premises to begin. You are welcome to bring changes of clothes and your own props if desired, and I can also provide appropriate props if I have them. Session fee and Location fee (if applicable) are due 3 days prior to your scheduled session via cash, check or PayPal.
For most shoots, you will be able to view your password protected gallery on this site within 48 hours. Once I have sent your gallery to you to be reviewed, you have 3 days to order your package. For photo cards and/or special edits, allow extra time for you to review and/or change things before they are final.
After you have ordered your prints, your photos will be ready to pickup or be mailed out within a week. Special items and greeting cards may require more time for proofing and processing. Payment for photos is due prior to printing.
